John Yawn Kerry has grabbed the headlines for the day. It seems he is once again trying to lead a rather pathetic charge to filibuster the confirmation of Judge Alito to the Supreme Court.
Or, maybe, he's just wanting some attention.
He is joined in his efforts by the other Distinquished Gentleman from Massachusetts, Teddy Kennedy.
Really, these two plus a few others are the gift that just keeps on giving to the Republican Party!
These people don't seem to realize that most people of the nation are not buying what they are selling. They are so arrogant that they think the problem is the people in the 'fly over country' are just not 'hip'.
We just don't understand the issues and fortunately they are here to tell us what to think and how to live. It doesn't seem to occur to them that perhaps, just maybe, they might be out of step with the rest of the nation.
So the usual suspects are aligning themselves with the usual ACLU line. No big surprise.
When I think of how seriously Kerry takes himself, I can't help but remember the look on his face when a reporter asked his reaction to the revelation that George W. Bush has a higher IQ than his.
It was priceless!
